Done right, bronzer is a lifesaver on a cold wintry British morning, done wrong, clown-like. Sarah explains: ‘Choosing the correct bronzer is essential. Pick one a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone. Fair skin looks great with rosy, peachy tones, olive with coppers and golds and dark skin chocolate and chestnuts. Apply the bronzer on moisturised skin or on top of tinted moisturiser with a large, soft brush to areas of the face that would naturally catch the sun’s rays: cheekbones, hairline, the bridge of your nose and the tip of your chin.’ Our favourites are NARS, £30, asos.com and BECCA, £27, johnlewis.com.
