WHO ARE WE?
The Cryer is a free, bi-monthly glossy magazine which combines lifestyle with local interest. With magazines already established in both East Lothian and South Edinburgh, we are in the process of expanding to cover other local areas around Scotland.
WHAT KIND OF DATA DO WE COLLECT ON OUR WEBSITE?
We use Google Analytics to keep track of visitors to our website. This information helps us see which pages people visited, where they came from and how long they spent on our website. To do this, we use cookies to collect this data. If you do not wish to be tracked, you can turn off cookies in your browser settings.
COMPETITIONS
We will process your data when you enter our competitions. We will use this data to contact you regarding the competition, to identify entrants and winners, and to follow up on prize deliveries.
If you consent to being added to The Cryer mailing list as part of a competition, we will then contact you with other relevant competitions, offers and news. If you consent to us sharing your email address with our competition partners, they will then contact you with relevant marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
WHAT KIND OF DATA DO WE HOLD IN OUR FILES?
If you use our forms on our competition pages, we keep a secure database of contact details (including name, email address, phone number where relevant).
We only use your personal details to contact you about relevant advertising, editorial or events we think you’ll be interested in. If you wish to be removed from our database at any point, please email us at hello@thecryermagazine.co.uk.
HOW DO WE STORE DATA?
The data we hold is only ever used for internal purposes – your personal data will never be sold or shared with others. Data is held within our secure computer system, which is password protected and is only accessed by The Cryer staff.
