Laura Thomas is the founder and Creative Director at Laura Thomas Co, a homewares, textiles and scents brand based in North Berwick. Laura lives in Gullane’s Old Doctors Surgery with her partner Justin and daughters, Olivia and Lilly and fur babies (family cats) Max and Prince.
What’s the best thing about living and working in East Lothian?
The beaches. I never not want to live by the sea again. I love walking and running along the coast and watching the ever-changing tide. It’s so calming.
What are your plans for Christmas?
To have a very quiet and laid-back Christmas. Every two years we do the big family Christmas and so this year it is just us at home with a roast, movies and lots of down time.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
Do they know it’s Christmas, Band Aid, 1984.
Your favourite candle fragrance?
My new candle that is about to be released called ‘Wood’. I’ve blended scents that remind me of chilled days on Gullane beach with a camp fire, a few beers and great mates.
