Actress Millie Bobby Brown reflects on her remarkable journey from child star to acclaimed performer, as well as discussing her recent marriage, and the clamour for upcoming film ‘The Electric State’.
Attaining the ripe old age of 21 in February, Millie Bobby Brown has achieved an almost incomprehensible amount.
The actress, born in February 2004 in Marbella, currently stands as one of Hollywood’s brightest young stars, known for her role as Eleven in the hugely-popular Stranger Things, the Netflix series that redefined the sci-fi genre whilst captivating audiences worldwide.

Her meteoric rise began at just 12 years old, as she showcased her talent in the Duffer brothers’ show. “I never imagined that I’d have such a unique platform,” she recalls. “Eleven has taught me so much about resilience and strength. Each season felt like a new adventure.”
As the world eagerly anticipates the fifth and final season – eight episodes coming later in 2025 – Brown reflects that the emotional weight of wrapping up the series is real.
“It’s bittersweet,” she admits. “We’ve grown up together on set and the bond we’ve formed with each other is something I’ll cherish forever. The last season is going to be intense – both for the characters and the fans.”
Eleven has taught me so much about resilience and strength. Each season felt like a new adventure.
As she has transitioned from a young actress to a mature performer, Brown has embraced new challenges. Her recent marriage to Jake Bongiovi, son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, marked a significant personal milestone. “Jake brings so much joy into my life,” she shares with a warm smile. “Our shared experiences in this crazy industry make our bond even stronger.”
Looking ahead, The Electric State, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, is slated for a March 2025 release on Netflix. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan and Stanley Tucci.

Brown plays Michelle, a girl on a quest to find her missing brother with the help of a robot. “It combines adventure, humour and a heart-warming storyline,” she explains.
The actress describes working with the Russo brothers as transformative. “They have a unique vision and know how to create magic on screen. I can’t wait for audiences to see this film and be inspired by it!”
And inspiration is clearly something she majors in, with a global fanbase of young wannabes referencing the icon’s journey. “It’s nice guiding others on the same path as me. It takes dedication, perspiration and no small amount of luck, but the biggest piece of advice I would give is to always stay true to yourself, and remember that your journey is unique… so be unique!”
