The capital’s annual Fizz Feast makes a welcome return this November at the Edinburgh Academy for a true celebration of sparkling wine and artisan food.
Now in its fifth year, Fizz Feast brings together 12 diverse producers offering more than 100 different wines from around the world to sample. As well as Champagne and cava, there will be alternative bubbles such as franciacorta, crémant, prosecco, South Africa’s Cap Classique and more. The feast hall will feature organic chocolate, cheeses, honey, pickles, charcuterie and other surprises from interesting artisan food producers.

Organiser Diana Thompson, owner of Wine Events Scotland, says, ‘After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we can’t wait to open the doors, pop a few corks, share some wonderful wines and see people enjoy themselves again.
‘One of the reasons for starting Fizz Feast was that I felt there were lots of opportunities for people to try new wines, but it’s much more difficult if you want to try different sparkling wines,’ Thompson explains.
‘It is often expensive to experiment with different Champagnes and there is less opportunity to try them first. Most people are reluctant to buy an expensive bottle if they haven’t tasted it, which is why Fizz Feast came about. I wanted more people to have the opportunity to try something new.’

Together with a diverse range of independent food and sparkling wine producers, Thompson has teamed up with renowned wine glass producer Riedel for a special gift for visitors.
Sparkling wine masterclasses will be announced closer to the date. Visitors will be able to buy or order wines and food on the day.
